Sharing Life

Community Service and Youth Group Organization
in Washington Township, Southern New Jersey

The goal of all of Sharing Life's programs is to bring children and senior citizens together to enrich the lives of both.

Sharing Life was formed in honor of the founder, Maria McBride's Dad, John
who passed away from the effects of Alzheimer' s.
In his memory, we share with seniors and children as much as we can.

Sharing Life's Programs Include:

Adopt a Grandparent

An organization of children and adults coming together to share the feeling of living. We feel the need for better lasting friendships and relationships between the children of this world and their seniors. To much has drifted from the family and consequently we have so many children needing the support and experience of the senior generation and so many seniors needing to be needed for the so many talents they may have. We celebrate Holidays, sing, do crafts and many other activities together.

Here are some of our Activities:
January - Ready for Valentine's Day February - Ready for St. Patrick's Day March - Ready for Easter
April - Spring Music Recital May - Pizza Pary & Carnival June - Flag Day
July - Hawaiian Day August - Planting Flowers Sept. - Picture Frames
October - Halloween Nov. - Thanksgiving Centerpieces December - Christmas Karioke

Share a Book

In this after school program, we intend to bring children and seniors together for the purpose of doing the child's homework or other after school projects that they may be working on. We encourage the parents to participate.
